Untitled (Viasa)
McDonnell Douglas DC-10-30
Buenos Aires - Ezeiza / Ministro Pistarini (EZE / SAEZ)
Argentina, August 25, 2006
Remark
Photographer
YV-135C (cn 46971/258) - Original delivery to Citicorp as PH-AAI on 26/07/1978. After that pass to Viasa on 21/7/1978 as YV-135C. Unfortunaly ran off the runway at Ministro Pistarini International Airport on november 26, 1993 about 6.20 am. If you can see carefully at the botton of this picture, there is the rest of a Fairchild-Swearingen SA.226 T Merlin III registred LV-WIR (SN T-232) that it's seems to have an accident but I really don't know when happened. Buenos Aires - Ezeiza / Ministro Pistarini (EZE / SAEZ)
Argentina, July 25, 2004
Remark
Photographer
YV-135C (cn 46971/258) Another ill-fated jetliner at EZE’s “Corrosion Corner”. This DC-10 ran off the runway while landing in poor weather conditions on November 26th, 1993. All the useful parts have been removed and saled. Right now, it is parked among some trees waiting for an uncertain future. [Olympus C-740]

EC-GTA (cn 20605/921) Really it was not an easy task to photograph Tango Alpha, enlayed between two TWAs. Former EC-CBK was broken up in June 2001

Miami - Opa Locka (OPF)

Remark
Photographer
EC-GTA (cn 20605/921) Viasa had six 727s before it ceased operation. Three of them are in Opa Locka waiting to either be sold or used for spares. Viasa fleet lasted with these colors (Iberia style) less than two years. You can see clearly that the company name was removed from the yellow stripe and tail.
