N221NW / 1221 (cn 46579/132) One of the steepest DC-10 rotations I have ever seen, the runway is probably just slippery when wet;) |

N148US / 1148 (cn 46757/108) The only thing that dates this photo taken at Frankfurt in 1989 is the F-84F Thunderstreak in the left hand background which was then still preserved on the viewing terrace. |

N232NW (cn 46961/236) Have a look at the engine: a hatch at the bottom has not been closed!! Hope it didn't cause any complications in-flight. |

N230NW / 1230 (cn 46552/71) My first upload of 2005 is this lovely old cockpit from a NWA DC-10! After just flying LGW-DTW i went up front to take a look. This flight was supposed to be a A333 but it turned out to be this old bird. The captain was very friendly and said that he loved to fly this aircraft. This was shot with the 15mm Fisheye to capture as much as possible. It's a little different to a modern day cockpit don't you think.... Hehe! I love the DC-10 emblem on the yokes! (10D/15mm Fisheye/550ex/Stofen Omnibounce) |

N232NW (cn 46961/236) Not a normal NWA tail line up at AMS, if you take a look you will notice that this particular DC-10 is getting its very own on gate De-icing captured in progress, creating a nice effect to the line up on a stunning morning in Amsterdam. Also this is my 1000th addition to the Anet and felt a special pic was to get the honor. |

N233NW / 1233 (cn 46640/240) NW041 from MSP experienced a very rough touchdown on runway 27. A hydraulic problem forced it to do a high speed landing with minimal flaps. The smoke on touch down was massive. Some of the tyres have blown and the aircraft is seen here still sitting on the runway a few minutes after the incident, surrounded by fire trucks. |

N244NW (cn 48316/437) Is on a short final before landing runway 34L at Tokyo Narita arriving from Singapore as NW12 in a heavy shower. This shot was taken from the tarmac area of the Museum of Aeronautical Sciences. The only purpose of my visit there was to take THIS wonderful wide body three holer landing with a heavy condensation. As it was truly a spectacular view which was more than I expected, I must have kept my head cool for photography. I have never tired of Northwest DC-10s especially this ex JAS machine (JA8551)! |
