N626VA (cn 2830) First view of VX (cockpit shot) on this website. I had never seen the LCD screens on either side showing the airport map in an A320 before. Its strange, but all the flight deck shots i have seem to be from Airbus's! This flight from SFO was flown by my friend Mark Bohney, i dedicate this picture to him for getting his "captain" status a few days ago. Good going Mark, and i hope to fly with you again very very soon. I almost missed my Etihad connection to AUH because i was "chillin" with the pilots after we touched down at JFK. By the orientation of the runways here in Mexico City, photography during the winter months becomes a bit harder, but there are indeed some great possible angles if you press down the shutter button at the right time. In this frame Lufthansa flight 498 from Frankfurt is arriving just 8 or 9 minutes before the sun hides in the horizon. |

The External tank is showing the repair work (lighter orange) performed due to the hail storm damage in March. This damage delayed the mission by 3 months. NASA deactivated LC-39B on January 1, 2007, thus making the night time launch of STS-116, which occurred on December 9, 2006 the last regularly scheduled mission. The "stack" is sitting on a mobile launch platform (MLP). To get an idea of the size of the complex structure look for the workers on it. |

EC-HTD (cn 1550) Close encounter over the Pyrenees with IB3317 coming from ARN 2000' below. Overflying 'Lake d'Artouste' close to the border with Spain. The dam on the top right section is clearly seen. The lake is a reservoir and the small mountain train that was used for its construction in the mid 20th century is still used as popular summer attraction.
