N950PB (cn 47394/458) Hugh Hefner's DC-9 with the Bunny logo first visit to London Heathrow, July 1970. I was there for a job interview, must have taken the camera to the interview....most of the workers on Heathrow South managed a peek at the interior of this flying palace.Mirage reflection of car and wheels from the hot concrete. Oldest ( and lousiest)shot of N950PB on database and first shot in Europe |

G-ASGL (cn 862) As seen from the Queens Building, this aircraft is touching down on runway 28L. This is one of the two VC10s that I flew in. The old BOAC advert for the VC10 was 'Love at first flight.' It certainly was for me. Taken with a borrowed 400mm lens which weighed about the same as a brick, rather like the Bigma I use today actually ! |
