Virgin America
Airbus A319-112
In Flight
USA - California, November 11, 2007
Remark
Photographer
N524VA (cn 3204) Qantas 747-400 (VH-OEI) is seen going around, climbing past us in the A319. We were performing a parallel ("side-by") approach to Runway 28 in San Francisco (SFO) when apparently the heavy couldn't stay behind us and had to go around. It was the most spectacular thing I have ever seen from inside an airplane!

EC-JOH (cn 731) Skid off during landing. Certainly amazing, no one was hurt, but the damage is amazing. 3 Engines ripped out, wing lost, a landing gear ripped out, front gear collapsed! Note engine 1 and 2 totaly ripped facing an other way! Just look how close it was to this house and to the wall.

Wow! Imagine if the airport is still in use, the Super Jumbo Jet will fly in from the right and perform a 47 degree turn upon the football field to align with the runway then touchdown rwy 13. Photo without watermark and dedicated to all. [Canon 24-105mm IS, Provia 100F]

N8**NW Today the early morning rush of eastbound planes left contrails that lasted forever. Even more remarkable is the nearly perfect grid in the sky, that is being completed by a plane far away
