British Airways
Aerospatiale-BAC Concorde 102
London - Heathrow (LHR / EGLL)
UK - England, October 10, 2003
Remark
Photographer
G-BOAE (cn 212) How lucky can you get. All week Concorde was running late with arrivals/departures only after sunset. Today she was right on time, but the weather was lousy all day. However just as she came on short final, the sun came out setting her in beautiful evening light . . . WOW! Canon 10D, 100-400L @ 400mm [+50% digital crop], handheld 1/100, f/8.0; IS is a great thing on big glass!

Boeing 747-436
Hong Kong - Kai Tak International (HKG / VHHH) (closed)
China - Hong Kong, June 1998
Remark
Photographer
G-**** Clear night shoot on flying aircraft on IGS approach to Kai Tak - the shutter speed is only 1/8s! The background, the night scene of Hong Kong was blurred as light lines.

American Airlines
McDonnell Douglas MD-82 (DC-9-82)
Dallas / Fort Worth - International (DFW / KDFW)
USA - Texas, September 28, 2005
Remark
Photographer
N70529 (cn 49921/1752) Ship 529 waits for the ramp to reopen after the lightening subsides. This was a spectacular storm and I only went out to shoot pictures after about 30 minutes of nearly continuous lightening. Really a treat to watch, but not very conducive to a smooth operation. If anyone wonders why the ramp closes when lightening is in the area this should be explanation enough. This strike was just outside the perimeter fence but this storm produced hundreds of strikes within the fence, according to the detector equip.

China Airlines
Boeing 747-409
Los Angeles - International (LAX / KLAX)
USA - California, January 15, 2006
Remark
Photographer
B-18210 (cn 33734/1353) Wow, can you believe how nicely the color elements (hues) work in this shot. The Dreamliner's deep blue and turquoise melts into the sky, in a nice linear fashion. As they say, "Timing Is Everything" and all the elements and timing came together here. So here she is crossing Sepulveda Eastway, a mere 200 feet above the street and 10 seconds from TD on runway 24R... and arriving some 16 minutes shy of high noon.

Alaska Airlines
Boeing 737-790
In Flight
USA - Alaska, November 22, 2006
Remark
Photographer
N649AS (cn 30663/1386) Wow! Northern lights and the Great Dipper!! This could be one of the ultimate window views that I could expect. Mother Nature surely does know how to pose for photographs. However, this is changing forever and could disappear suddenly as we are now traveling more than 700 km/h with 10 km off the ground. Definitely, this is a damn difficult image to capture where my passion for photography comes from. The red cast on the wing comes from the anti-collision light as I managed to synchronize my photo with it.

Gdansk - Lech Walesa (Rebiechowo) (GDN / EPGD)
Poland, November 28, 2006
Remark
Photographer
VP-BQV (cn 2920) Misty evening in Gdansk Lech Walesa Airport. Beacuse of dense fog in Warsaw these planes were diverted to Gdansk. Our apron is a little to small to handle all the traffic so Aeroflot A320 VP-BQV, Wizz Air A320HA-LPH and LOT B767SP-LOA are parked on taxiway Alfa1. 1280 pix wide
