JA8094 (cn 24801/805) Only after 1 year has past from last Boeing 747 SR retired, the period was sudden visited for ANA's first Boeing 747-400 that delivered at 1990. I think it's enough younger to work for ANA, but 4 engines don't fit for them. |

VH-CZF (cn 47325/515) Airborne view of the Ansett apron and Terminal at 'Old Eagle Farm' Airport, taken in 1971. DC-9 VH-CZF in the foreground still carries 'old' Ansett-ANA titles (with the 'A' tail). Four Air Hostesses (now called Flight Attendants) below the tail are about to enter via the ventral stairs. VH-CZI at rear wears the 'new' Ansett Airlines of Australia livery. Photo taken from 'brand new' Australian Army Bell 206B-1 Kiowa helicopter A17-003, during the post-assembly test flight flown by the Bell Helicopter Australia Test Pilot. Very rare (low res) photo. |

ZK-NZE (cn 45985/336) An overview of the then new Sydney International Airport apron in October 1970 (terminal opened by Queen Elizabeth II on 03May1970). As well as ANZ DC-8 ZK-NZE (foreground), there are Pan Am and Qantas B707s, and KLM DC-8-55 PH-DCV present. The Boeing 747 is N741PA, the second 747 to visit Sydney. Pan Am's N734PA was the first, arriving at night on 04Oct1970, 9.5 hours late. This photo was taken a few days later, when the second 'Jumbo Jet' arrived on time. |

So-called 'iron line' - number of old jets - Tu-154, 134 and Il-86 are awaiting for their fate as it is already happened with the last in line. Dramatic remove of old Soviet fleet was made in past couple of years. |
