G-BOAE (cn 212) How lucky can you get. All week Concorde was running late with arrivals/departures only after sunset. Today she was right on time, but the weather was lousy all day. However just as she came on short final, the sun came out setting her in beautiful evening light . . . WOW! G-BOAC (cn 204) Late afternoon arrival of Concorde as BA002. After she landed, several other airplanes had to perform a go-around due to a deflated tyre on G-BOAC, while the runway was being checked and cleaned for debris. Only when looking at the photo's at home, I found out that its RH front tyre on the right main landing gear was already deflated and deformed on approach! Looks like the new Michelin NZG tyre performed as advertised and did not blow catastrophically. Photo 3 of 4. |
