Off-Airport - Kennedy Space Center
USA - Florida, November 30, 2000
Remark
Photographer
OV-105 (cn OV-105) Launch of Space Shuttle Endeavour from Pad 39B on mission STS-97. This is a five minute exposure taken from the Causeway (about 7 miles away from the pad). Taken with a borrowed all-manual Nikomat camera, 24 mm lens, f/16, Kodak Royal Gold 100 film. When the exposure was stopped in this shot, the shuttle was approximately 229 statute miles downrange.

Remark

JA8081 (cn 25064/851) I've seen the Space Shuttle take-off and I've seen plenty of topless women in SXM but nothing comes close to a 747 coming directly in your direction just a few hundred feet below you! This was really amazing. It's a real air-to-air picture, no discussions please!

N15710 (cn 28780/94) For me its always a pleasure to spot in Houston, such a calm place with great possibilities, tonight lots of stars shine as another bunch of flights are getting ready for international departures. It's a shame ship 014 will now only live in our memories... this place aint the same without Peter Max [Canon 40D + 100-400L IS a 120" exposure]

Boeing 757-222
San Francisco - International (SFO / KSFO)
USA - California, August 15, 2004
Remark
Photographer
N509UA (cn 24763/284) With LH 744 D-ABVE. The two planes appear to be touching! The 757 is on final for 28L while the 747 is for 28R. The runways are 750 ft apart, so there is still plenty of room between them. Incidentally, Lufthansa 455 is seen here returning to SFO due to an oil leak and eventual shutdown of the number 2 engine. Note rudder is deflected to the right compensating for the failed engine on the left side.

Picture taken on Sept. 11, 2005 showing World Trade Center memorial spotlights. Photo taken while airplane passed through lights enroute to LGA. As a witness to the attack I had lots of tears while shoting this picture.

N77006 (cn 29476/183) EWR-HKG. CO Flight 99. This flight took us directly over the geographical north pole. On this picture you can see the last bit of land before we reach the pack-ice. The view was stunning with snow and ice as far as one could see and a deep blue sky.

Remark
Photographer
82-1067 / WM (cn 1002/AV-2) 393rd Bomb Squadron, 509th Bomb Wing, Whiteman AFB, Missouri. Northrop Grumman B-2A Spirit "Spirit of Arizona" flies past the crowd, giving us a rather unusual angle on the very unconventional airframe that is our stealth bomber.
