D-AIGN (cn 213) Here the mobile crew rest is seen in the center section of the cargo hold. It is accessed through a stairway from the main cabin. The panels on the side walls of the cargo hold are 'blow-out panels'. I've been told that they pop out to facilitate air flow in case of an emergency descent.

D-AIHK (cn 580) A340’s Famous Stairway, which takes you to the lower deck galley. Indeed, numerous lower-deck options are available on the A340, including sleeping berths, lounges and crew-rest facilities. Moving a portion of the lavatory complement downstairs frees up space for additional seating on the main level. This is my 1001th picture in the database, being the first photographer in Argentina to passed that mark in A.net. [Olympus C-740]

D-AIGB (cn 024) This is our good old crew rest area in a A340-300. While I was taking the picture inside, Zhang Hua and Eric P Lee took photos from the outside of the very plane I was in.

HS-TGF (cn 33770/1335) This photo is one of the very few ones that in airliners.net shows this curious hidden corner in a B747-400. This is the crew rest room under the tail and over the economic class section. The are several beds for flight attendant crew.
