Remark

F-WWJB (cn 007) Here we are flying at FL 360 over the Indian state of Rajasthan. This was the demonstration flight of Airbus operated by Kingfisher. This was a great opportunity as there were only about 80-90 people on this flight. These stairs leading up to the upper deck were spacious and strongly built. Persons on board included various ministers, top lawyers, businessmen and the top notch newsmen of India. Also note the sofas on both the sides of the stairs. D200+10.5mm Thank you again Phil from EDDL for the editing!

D-AIHK (cn 580) A340’s Famous Stairway, which takes you to the lower deck galley. Indeed, numerous lower-deck options are available on the A340, including sleeping berths, lounges and crew-rest facilities. Moving a portion of the lavatory complement downstairs frees up space for additional seating on the main level. This is my 1001th picture in the database, being the first photographer in Argentina to passed that mark in A.net. [Olympus C-740]

D-AIGB (cn 024) This is our good old crew rest area in a A340-300. While I was taking the picture inside, Zhang Hua and Eric P Lee took photos from the outside of the very plane I was in.

D-AIHF (cn 543) This is the opposite side of the lower deck galley. Check my other pic ID591519. And yes guys, it's downstairs! Not the rear part of the cabin! Here you can see the two elevators. Working as a flight attendant on a A340-600 without them would be terrible. ;-)

D-AIHF (cn 543) As I know a lot of people wanna see the crew rest in a A340-600 - here it is! It is soo good to have a bed on a flight of more than 12 hours! After a nap of more than 3 hours you really feel better than before. :-)

Remark

PH-BFY / FY-041 (cn 30455/1302) Only 2 airlines have this type of galley on the 747 (the other is Garuda). It's ultra-long because it in the length of the aircraft. This allows extra room on the other side for the pursers cabin. Note how this aircraft still needs to be catered since all compartments are emtpy.
