RA-85187 (cn 92A919) Seems like push back with all doors open, but in fact this one is being towed to the maintenace are, although it is full boarded with passengers. They had a complete power loss inside the aircraft, so they left the doors open due to the heat that day in Zurich. [Canon EOS D60, ISO 100] |

G-AMWC (cn 13128) Silver City's B170 Mk32s carried up to three cars and fourteen passengers plus a flight attendant. Lydd (then also known as Ferryfield) was purpose built for the airline. The main destination was Le Touquet. Flights also operated to Ostend, Calais and (in the summer) Deauville. During July and August in the early 1960s there were up to 120 air-ferry movements daily. Silver City Airways became part of British United Airways (BUA) in January 1963 and was renamed British United Air Ferries (BUAF). |

VP-CKX (cn 23162/1056) When I first saw this dog going into the cargo hold I immediately thought he was trained for bomb sniffing. However, I was wrong. When I talked to the handler I learned he was trained to sniff drugs. He obviously knows the rountine as the handler let him go and he immediately went into the hold and did his inspection. |

TF-FIN (cn 28989/780) In these Hi-Tec times this F.O. is communicating directly with the ground crew. It's always good to feel the breeze, but don't try to do it in flight!!! |
