D-AHIA (cn 29082/229) The most spectacular I have experienced in Europe so far! Very late 90 degree right turn ending right at the threshold of the runway. Dangerous downwinds from the hills make it even more difficult. |

PH-BUI (cn 21111/276) KLM Flight 9165 from Amsterdam to Dubai, cruising at FL350, seen from 1000 ft above. Maybe the largest trails I've ever seen... This B747, named 'Wilbur Wright', will be replaced December this year by a 747-400ER freighter |

Crazy landing as you can see spoilers and the tire track clearly. Full frame and taken from Beacon Hill with 800 mm lens. |

JA8081 (cn 25064/851) I've seen the Space Shuttle take-off and I've seen plenty of topless women in SXM but nothing comes close to a 747 coming directly in your direction just a few hundred feet below you! This was really amazing. It's a real air-to-air picture, no discussions please! |

9M-MRI (cn 28416/155) About 10 seconds after liftoff from runway 19R something happens with the left engine. Alot of smoke and fragments of metal and other material falls down on the runway. At first the pilots don't get any indications in the cockpit and plan to go on to Kuala Lumpur. Then we decide to call Arlanda duty officer to make sure that they have noticed the pieces from the engine on the runway. Shortly after that the pilots requests fueldump and return to ARN safely. So mesmerised by this sight that I almost forgot to take a photograph. Four aircraft in all dominated by the A330 in front and its huge contrail. |

PH-BFG / FG-003 (cn 24517/782) Well I don’t think this really needs a comment. It speaks for itself. Truly SXM trademark at its best. If he were much lower he would have gotten the fence and these guys’ heads. Not very often you see grown men ducking down there. What an awesome weekend this was. Thanks guys! |

OV-103 (cn OV-103) Many journalists and photographers flock in front of the Launch Pad 39B to watch the service structure roll away from Discovery at 11:00 pm on July 12. It was truly a stunning moment when everyone was anxiously waiting for. As the initial launch attempt in the following day had been scrubbed because the fuel sensor in the external tank did not work properly, it finally had launched on July 26 -- the first Space Shuttle mission since Columbia's disaster 2 1/2 years ago which left the entire fleet grounded. |
