United Parcel Service - UPS
McDonnell Douglas MD-11(F)
Anchorage - Ted Stevens International (ANC / PANC)
USA - Alaska, November 24, 2006
Remark
Photographer
N2**UP It is always delighted to see some snow on the undercarriage is blown off by the air stream. This UPS MD-11F is now leaving Anchorage from runway 32 with some interesting selection of cargo airplanes behinds. As this photograph was taken the moment after the sun broke through the peak of mountains, the orange hue gives us a warm atmosphere. In a reality, it is -9F (-22.8C) which makes me pretty cold; but, as you might know, I like crispy winter day so that I really enjoy what I am doing here!!

Sri Lanka - Air Force
Mil Mi-24V
Off-Airport - Sigiriya
Sri Lanka, August 24, 2001
Remark
Photographer
No. 9 Attack Squadron flight over the ancient garden city/palace built by King Kasyapa in 477 - 495 AD. Palace also served as a fortress for the King from invading armies for 20 years of rule. 1500 years later, modern defenders of Sri Lanka fly by! This very ancient edifice is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is also a very popular tourist attraction. Could also turn into a good spotting location as SLAF Air Base Sigirya is about 5 miles away. Thanks/credit to SLAF for photo ops.
