G-VELD (cn 214) The smog in LA can be good for some things! During a beautiful Southern California sunset, Virgin 23 Heavy races the sun down trying to finish a long flight from Heathrow. Special thanks go to Paul Markman for editing the shot.

JY-AFA (cn 21251/296) Superlatives can't even describe this rare 747. Only the second shot of this one, both are taken at Amsterdam though.

N466AW (cn 7899) Was displayed at the ceremony unveiling United's new livery today at SFO. How lucky I was to catch it on its departure after the ceremony!

Boeing 777-222/ER
San Francisco - International (SFO / KSFO)
USA - California, December 9, 2005
Remark

N219UA (cn 30551/318) This is something I've never seen before. Two UA 777's were instructed to position and hold on both 28L and 28R simultaneously. I was hoping they'd drag race down the runway :) But N219UA on 28L was cleared first and N206UA on 28R about 3 minutes later. I got an email from Keith, the ATC on duty at that time. He said that the basic rule at SFO is to never load both runways simultaneously. But both 777's were ready to go and there was no aircraft on final so he could load both runways.
