OH-LHD (cn 47865/135) This heavy DC-10 is about to touch down runway 6L replacing the regular Karair A300 from HEL. First flight was November 29, 1973. Delivery date was January 22, 1974. Other serials - I-DYNU with Alitalia, F-GPVD with Air Liberte, and OH-LHD with Express One International, Malaysia Airlines, and LOT - Polish Airlines. Stored at OPF as N786PT, and broken-up there during January 2005. |

N1994 (cn 18450/140) Delivered to American Airlines only one month prior, N1994 rests under a beautiful sunset in Detroit. She will go on to serve American for 29 years before becoming XA-SNW and flying for Aerolineas Internacionales in Mexico. Photo taken by my great uncle and scanned from a slide. N817PA (cn 453) "Clipper Midnight Sun" is ready for pushback from gate B33. This was my last photo of a Pan Am plane. It was already operating for Delta with a small sticker behind the cockpit windows. Soon thereafter the paint was removed, so this was quite a short-lived combination. [Kodachrome 64] |
