166435 / NH-201 (cn E080) Formed in 1919, VFA-14 has the distinction of being the oldest active US Navy squadron. In 1926 they began carrier operations aboard the first carrier, the USS Langley (CV-1). Here, some 86 years, 76 Commanding Officers, 23 aircraft types and 14 squadron designations later, “Camelot 201” blasts away from the deck of the USS Nimitz. This is my 500th photo to the database.
