EC-JOH (cn 731) Skid off during landing. Certainly amazing, no one was hurt, but the damage is amazing. 3 Engines ripped out, wing lost, a landing gear ripped out, front gear collapsed! Note engine 1 and 2 totaly ripped facing an other way! Just look how close it was to this house and to the wall.

N77014 (cn 29862/253) I had a flight back home the night before, but when I found out MAX was doing IAH - NRT on the next day I decided to stay at IAH... With no place to go, no money, no food, no hotel… not anything. I managed to survive the night in between terminals as I waited for a moment I had dreamed for a long time... I was rewarded with this superb 18mm shot of MAX that I will treasure for all my life.

B-18210 (cn 33734/1353) The delicate lines on the fuselage, combined with the curves of the body and the dew that decorates them, make a very attractive combination to produce this rare angle night shot on a humid night in LAX

N70529 (cn 49921/1752) Ship 529 waits for the ramp to reopen after the lightening subsides. This was a spectacular storm and I only went out to shoot pictures after about 30 minutes of nearly continuous lightening. Really a treat to watch, but not very conducive to a smooth operation. If anyone wonders why the ramp closes when lightening is in the area this should be explanation enough. This strike was just outside the perimeter fence but this storm produced hundreds of strikes within the fence, according to the detector equip.

Aloha Airlines
Boeing 737-230/Adv
Honolulu - International / Pearl Harbor-Hickam JB (Hickam AFB) (HNL / HIK / PHNL / PHIK)
USA - Hawaii, August 24, 2006
Remark

N823AL (cn 23154/1078) To commemorate their 60th anniversary, Aloha Airlines painted N823AL into the Funbird colors of the 1970s. Red and yellow flowers can be seen on the bright orange tail, as well as on the classic cheat line. As a bonus, the belly and engines were also polished nicely. Flower Power is seen approaching runway 26R with the Koolau mountain range behind. What a classic Hawaii shot!

Monarch Airlines
Airbus A300B4-605R
Faro (FAO / LPFR)
Portugal, September 2, 2004
Remark
Photographer
G-OJMR (cn 605) I was trying this for some years but the right conditions were never combined before, there are too many factors out of control, sun setting lined up with the runway center line (there are only two days per year when the sun sets in that position), sun not covered by clouds, aircraft landing at the right time, rather a widebody. I can only imagine the view those pilots were having up there.

Kingfisher Airlines
Airbus A319-131
Mumbai (Bombay) - Chhatrapati Shivaji International (Sahar / Santa Cruz) (BOM / VABB)
India, July 19, 2007
Remark
Photographer
VT-KFH (cn 2621) A new perspective of India for all of you a.netters out there. Seen here from the holding point of RWY 27, is the little 319 of Kingfisher Airlines, followed by a JetLite (former Sahara S2) Boeing 737, a UPS MD-11 carrying a decently heavy cargo load, followed by another IT A320. Far back you can see the VS 343 taxiing to its gate and a Spicejet (SG) Boeing 737 just exiting the main runway (27). Also notice the mismatched nosecone of this pretty little girl. Thanks to Saurabh (flyvabb) for the location

Etihad Airways

Remark

A6-EYL (cn 809) First cockpit shot of EYL on this website, and the biggest thanks goes to Captains Shanmuganathan and Ahman Zaki who were the friendliest pilots i have come across till now. This flight from AUH to DEL was 1344nm at FL 390 and we landed exactly one minute behind schedule. I also want to mention Diana, part of the cabin crew, who was very warm and plesant, its people like you who make flying a joy. These guys landed at 3:15 and then were going to a hotel for a couple of hours then were flying the return flight back to AUH! Thats a long long day. Photographed with the Canon 400D + Sigma 8mm Fisheye.

India, July 11, 2007
Remark
Photographer
VT-JEA (cn 35157/627) This is what i was looking forward to the most at BOM this visit! The new Jet Airways Boeing 773ER! That 9W ATR and Kingfisher ATR look so miniscule and insignificant infront of the big beast! Doesnt it look like those fan blades are waiting to chop something up? Simply no match to the propeller blades of the ATR's. Thanks to Phil for the edit and to the pilot of the 9W 777 who graciously waved to us when he saw us eagrely clicking away. Oh how i miss BOM! Thanks to Yash, Birendra, Sean and Saurabh.

Etihad Airways
Airbus A330-243
Abu Dhabi - (Nadia) International (AUH / OMAA)
United Arab Emirates, September 30, 2007
Remark
Photographer
A6-EYL (cn 809) I should actually be sitting down at this exact point as the safety video is being shown as we taxi to the runway in AUH for a take off to DEL. We have extremely light loads and the F/A Diana was extremely friendly and the service was excellent. This is EYL, the first 330 equipped with a lounge for its first class passengers. I was on seat 8A and was told that i was free to walk around and change seats if i felt like it. The 330 is a marvellous aircraft and EY is a great airline. All in all i seem to be very fond of all Airbus aircraft. Living in Asia, i guess you get to see more buses and Boeings. Shot taken with my trusted Canon 400D along with the Sigma 8mm Fisheye.

Virgin America
Airbus A320-214
New York - John F. Kennedy International (Idlewild) (JFK / KJFK)
USA - New York, September 28, 2007
Remark
Photographer
N626VA (cn 2830) Virgin America has really revolutionised the way to fly domestically in the USA. No wonder there was so much protest by other airlines about the legality of them getting clearence from the DOT. I mean come one, any competitor would be scared or a rival with an interior like this. This flight of mine from SFO to JFK was flown by Capt. Dan Brook and Mark Bohney. Our landing into JFK was piloted by Mark Bohney. I love Virgin america, the service was excellent the IFE was great and the staff was spot on. What a truly great way to fly. Taken with the Canon 400D along wiht the Sigma 8mm Fisheye.
