N86363 (cn 11AC-170) Found this 60+ year old gem in an open hangar at a 3500ft gravel strip in middle of nowhere, Utah. Actually, it's only a few miles from Eagle Mountain - but it sure feels desolate out there. I was quite surprised by the number of planes at this airport - six that I could see, many gliders, and five or six closed hangars. It really is amazing how many airports there are within 20 miles of my house - seven that I know of. And to think that once I thought SLC was the only worthwile airport around . . . |

N102CL (cn RB-178) A good-looking plane at a spectacular airport is hard to beat. This Aardvark-ish plane is parked on the Heber ramp after arrival from Oakland OAK. This was my first time seeing a Permiere. |

N907SP (cn RLH-45) Sitting, devoid of engines, rudder, wingtips, cockpit instruments, and many other critical parts, at Eagle Mountain airport. The interior is completely stripped, except for a few stickers saying "SKYKING," "Connecticut Parachutists, Inc.," and "Sky Hawks - Canadian Parachute Team." It's safe to hazard a guess that this was at one point in time a skydiving plane, but it's almost certain that the flying future of this bird is over. On a positive note, the Oquirrh mountains look great today! |
