N524VA (cn 3204) Qantas 747-400 (VH-OEI) is seen going around, climbing past us in the A319. We were performing a parallel ("side-by") approach to Runway 28 in San Francisco (SFO) when apparently the heavy couldn't stay behind us and had to go around. It was the most spectacular thing I have ever seen from inside an airplane! |

EC-GRH (cn 146) Flight VY-2220 from Barcelona to Sevilla aborted the approach to Sevilla's runway 27 due to fault indications regarding the nose wheel steering and performed a low approach instead showing the nose gear was in its down and locked position, the airplane landed on runway 27 with the nose wheels rotated by 90 degrees, no injuries occurred, The runway and airport was closed for 2.5 hours as a result until the aircraft was moved off the runway. |

Bora Bora! I'm quite happy to have landed there as pilot in command of my rental aircraft. Picture was taken on the 150 nautical miles return leg Bora Bora - Tahiti, after a short sightseeing trip to Tupuai. 25 km in the distance, Tahaa island can be seen. During WWII, the USA built a military base here. The airfield, now 1500 meters long, is was is left of it. |

CS-TKN (cn 624) This month of November had been really good for us spotters, with so many different things coming by!! Not being a different A/C, this one deserved some attention... These pilots were caught in some wind shear, and it was really close to total disaster, since the wing almost touched the ground! You can also see the stress in main landing gear... At that time, there were gusts up to 44 knots of crosswind, and heavy turbulence was reported! I'm glad that everything ended up well.. [Canon 40D + Sigma 120-400 |
