KLM - Royal Dutch Airlines
Boeing 747-406
Philipsburg / St. Maarten - Princess Juliana (SXM / TNCM)
St. Maarten, July 2, 2006
Remark
Photographer
PH-BFG / FG-003 (cn 24517/782) Well I don’t think this really needs a comment. It speaks for itself. Truly SXM trademark at its best. If he were much lower he would have gotten the fence and these guys’ heads. Not very often you see grown men ducking down there. What an awesome weekend this was. Thanks guys!

KLM - Royal Dutch Airlines
Boeing 747-406M
Amsterdam - Schiphol (AMS / EHAM)
Netherlands, November 30, 2005
Remark
Photographer
PH-BFR / FR-035 (cn 27202/1014) "KL868 execute missed approach". I was watching a NWA DC-10 landing and I saw a KLM 747 close behind it. I was already thinking hmm not a lot of clearance. When the DC-10 landed I was already tracking the 747 and when I saw her come overhead I noticed the DC-10 still had not vacated the runway! Shortly after I heard the KLM give full throttle commencing its missed approach. Spectacular to see how fast it can climb! You can clearly see the DC-10 still on the runway. Note photo taken at Rwy 18R. [EF100-400mm]

McDonnell Douglas MD-11
Philipsburg / St. Maarten - Princess Juliana (SXM / TNCM)
St. Maarten, November 29, 2003
Remark
Photographer
PH-KCI / CI-009 (cn 48563/593) Presenting one of the first shot of a MD-11 trijet in database over the infamous Maho Beach, it was unbelivable how close you get to the planes but keep in mind they come very fast and you don't have many second chance there. A few seconds after there was a sand blast over the beach that my camera bag is covered with sands. A unique feeling that makes St Maarten so good! 18mm shot. [Nikon D100]
