Located downtown Manhattan, this is one of the busiest heliports I've ever seen. If you look closely, right through the New York smog, you can see the the hundreds of tourists standing in front of the Statue of Liberty. Picture was taken from the Brooklyn Bridge. |

Flying in the mountains gave me a ton of photo oppertunities. This is possibly the coolest, located at the top of a mountain near Asheville the airport elevation is 4,400 feet and the tallest part of the mountain was 6,000 feet. You need permission to land there but it looks like there is a nice resort and golf course next to it. Notice the vibrant colours of the leaves as they start to turn. |
