N656US (cn 26847/486) WOW!!! I was taking some pictures at the end of Rwy 24 when this US Airways n/c came over shooting flames and making loud bangs. I counted 8 of them, and lucky for me, at least 3 times I got the fire on the photo with the result like this. PH-BQC / QC-003 (cn 29397/461) Overhead Crew Rest (OCR) for cabin crew on KLM's newly acquired Boeing 777-200ER. Six comfy bunks (earphone and laptop outlet, reading light, pillow, blanket and crew pyjamas) located above the ceiling between doors 3L and 3R. Other airlines have their cabin crew rest facility installed on the lower deck (LCR) on their "Triple Sevens". I'm sure the crew on KL0597/16 Jan to Cape Town had a proper night's sleep! |

PH-BFR / FR-035 (cn 27202/1014) "KL868 execute missed approach". I was watching a NWA DC-10 landing and I saw a KLM 747 close behind it. I was already thinking hmm not a lot of clearance. When the DC-10 landed I was already tracking the 747 and when I saw her come overhead I noticed the DC-10 still had not vacated the runway! Shortly after I heard the KLM give full throttle commencing its missed approach. Spectacular to see how fast it can climb! You can clearly see the DC-10 still on the runway. PH-BFG / FG-003 (cn 24517/782) After our flight from Delhi to Amsterdam, the Captain and First Officer were kind enough to invite me up to the flight deck and on my way out, i managed to catch a shot of the Upper Deck Business class cabin on this beautiful KLM 747. It somehow doesnt look as appealing as some of the newer carriers J class cabins, but this was pretty decent. This girl named Guayaquil, had her first flight on the 23rd of March 1990 and was delivered to KLM on the 11th of April the same year!(Canon 400D with 8mm Sigma F3.5 Fisheye Lens) |
