“Yes, Southwest once flew a 727. Yes, sometimes the planes they bought didn't get painted right away. Come and see the freaks here...”

N680AA (cn 23505/1318) Having recently arrived from American Airlines, 680 wears the interim c/s. Date is approximate (I'm bad...didn't take notes while shooting....)

Southwest Airlines
Boeing 727-227/Adv
San Diego - International / Lindbergh Field (SAN / KSAN)
USA - California, June 1985
Remark
Photographer
N563PE (cn 21045/1133) My original photo isn't as sharp as I wish, but still an interesting photo! This 727, in gold paint rather than the usual Southwest ochre color, had just arrived from SFO and was about to fly a return trip back.
