JA8731 (cn 2099) Is making an initial 180 degree turn shortly after taking off from Osaka Itami to Kochi (KCZ) as ANK405. The airport where we departed is visible on the top. LOOK down there! GUESS what is the shape of the islands in the lake? YES! That is Japan!! Indeed, we ARE flying over Japan. (Of course, the islands were artificially made.) Funny, isn't it? This aircraft continued to serve for Air Nippon until the end of 1995, and now preserved in Kakamigahara Aerospace Museum, Gifu, Japan in ANK color. |

N624US / 6624 (cn 21706/377) Last takeoff of Northwest B747-200 for scheduled flight!! Goodbye Seattle. We take the last scheduled pax flight of Northwest B747-200 from Seattle to Minneapolis as NW170 in a dull day. Terminal A and S of Seattle airport are clearly showing right in front of my eyes. Today is a really special day for old aircraft, Note there is a DC-3 parked at the Terminal A. [ Canon 350D ] |

EP-ICC (cn 21514/343) Not the usual perspective of a B747. This aircraft was delivered to the Iranian Air Force in 1978 before transfer to Iran Air Cargo in 1980. Now it sits at the Tehran Aerospace Exhibition Center at Mehrabad Airport. If I'm not wrong, this is one of very few B747 Cargos with a nose loading door, but without a side door. |

UR-82060 (cn 19530503763) The humongous Mriya with this side showing 14 wheels and 3 massive engines. Most airport personnel on duty that day came to watch the Antonov and most of them took some pictures like these two rampworkers are doing. It's a nice comparison between man and the world's largest aircraft. The world's former largest passenger aircraft sits in the background. |

EI-UPI (cn 48428/474) This is the Alitalia Cargo MD11 tail tipped few months ago, during a wrong unload operation, when an operator errouneously moved the ballast from the front to the rear part of the aircraft, causing the center of gravity travelling too much back the stability range, just few hours after the finish of the new livery repainting |
