G-BOAE (cn 212) How lucky can you get. All week Concorde was running late with arrivals/departures only after sunset. Today she was right on time, but the weather was lousy all day. However just as she came on short final, the sun came out setting her in beautiful evening light . . . WOW! Canon 10D, 100-400L @ 400mm [+50% digital crop], handheld 1/100, f/8.0; IS is a great thing on big glass! |

PH-BUN / UN-030 (cn 21660/389) Served almost twenty-five years in active duty. Having entered into service with KLM in 1979, gone through a huge operation in the mid eighties were a –300 spec Stretched Upper Deck [SUD] was added, PH-BUN was retired in December 2003. Now enjoying a well deserved rest, although not really comfortable in this cold winter weather. Every time an aircraft roars by at the adjacent runway, a piece of snow fell of the fuselage. |

HB-IQK (cn 299) This Swiss heavy departed Rwy 16 and made a 180 degree left turn while climbing. Right over the airport it broke thru the thin clouds which created a couple of interesting effects; shadow on the cloud, condensation from the wings and slipstreams from the wingtips. |
