While working N599FE (I have a cockpit shot of that jet on A.Net as well) I saw this shot materialize as I decended the crew stairs of 599. As the two jets became one the little light bulb illuminated above my head and I captured the shot. |

OV-104 (cn OV-104) "Atlantis" blasts off on her 32nd and -perhaps- her final (since she will be the stand by rescue ship for the last official mission, an act of the President and/or Congress may allow NASA to fly her for one last time in 2011). Here the water clouds and the SRB ehaust smoke have rapidly consumed the LC-39A complex and spread about .5 miles end to end in seconds. White clouds are water vapor, the brown stuff will kill you if the sound does not. @ 3 miles the vibrations & noise is very loud too! |
