Panair do Brasil
Lockheed L-049 Constellation
London - Heathrow (LHR / EGLL)
UK - England, September 5, 1957
Remark
Photographer
PP-PDD (cn 2033) Parked at the then International Terminal, still located at London Airport's north side. The period Pan Am van, the KLM DC-3 in the background, the tail of a BOAC Argonaut alongside before they were painted navy blue, and the Constellation just airborne, all add to the scene. These were the days before airport security fences, when it was possible to get photographs if you were careful and could outrun a policeman on a bike. No patrol cars on the apron in those days.
