N787BA (cn 40690/1) Emerging from its "hide-out" in the paint-shop, the gleaming B787-8 in Boeing's attractive house livery made its way to the very same factory door it left just some days earlier to rendezvous with the world's media, VIPs and the Boeing employees who worked on it. |

N787BA (cn 40690/1) Here, it stopped short of its final "destination" and held for about 30 minutes. Being the star for the day, nobody is going to begrudge it for the wait before its true beauty is unveiled. Those elegant raked wingtips will remain a talking point for a long time yet. |

N787BA (cn 40690/1) As the huge factory doors (the size of a football field) slid open, 15000 people plus millions around the world gaped at the Dreamliner's sleek nose, elegantly-cut cockpit windows, exquisite paintwork and magical aura. The cheering of Boeing's employees within was a most heartfelt endorsement of the collective effort that went into making this day such a dream come true. The Boeing team that choreographed this entire day's proceeding outdid themselves!!! |

N787BA (cn 40690/1) Hectic and busy as it was, all that stress just flew away into the Snohomish air after those doors opened up to reveal the Dreamliner fresh at its best. The Trent 1000's with their 9'wide wavy fans will be one of many features to prove its effectiveness in reducing carbon footprint on our planet. Currently shes in the hangar undergoing systems installation and won't come out until the first ground tests begins. |

N787ZA (cn 40695/6) The sixth 787 is seen here resting on Boeing's ramp as we're heading to BFI today. The wing has an amazing shape... looks even like a glider! Dedicated to my friends Gregoire Richier and Olivier Le Saint who I shared this flight with. |
