Tofino Air
De Havilland Canada DHC-2 Beaver Mk1
Vancouver - Harbour Seaplane (CXH / CYHC)
Canada - British Columbia, July 2, 2013
Remark
Photographer
C-FMXR (cn 374) What a way to end my two week trip to Vancouver and the Canadian Rockies. A quick round trip to Nanaimo on Vancouver Island was concluded with this fantastic approach into CXH. Visible in the photo are several of the most beautiful city in the worlds significant landmarks; Stanley Park with Brockton Point lighthouse, Canada Place, the convention centre, Deadmans Island, Vancouver Lookout, the seaplane terminal and of course Coal Harbour. Take me back! [Canon EOS 40D + Canon 10-22]

Vietnam - Navy
De Havilland Canada (Viking) DHC-6-400 Twin Otter
Off Airport - Mayne Island
Canada - British Columbia, May 18, 2013
Remark
Photographer
C-GVTU (cn 872) A rare catch. Sat on the beach on the very secluded Mayne Island, luckily I had my camera with me as this brand new Twin Otter arrived for some practice take-off/landings. It is still Canadian registered but is due to go to the Vietnamese Navy as VNT-771. The Viking Twin Otters are manufactured in nearby Victoria, BC.

Vancouver - Harbour Seaplane (CXH / CYHC)
Canada - British Columbia, May 16, 2013
Remark
Photographer
Forget international hubs or widebody movements and take me back to Coal Harbour any day of the week. This bustling seaplane base in downtown Vancouver is an amazing place to come and watch the activity. In this shot we have Beavers from Harbour Air, Salt Spring Air, Tofino Air and West Coast Air, along with an Otter from Harbour Air and finally a Twin-Otter from West Coast Air.

Remark

C-GOBC (cn 1560) 3 second exposure of this beauty during the early evening 'blue' hours. It was the first time I had to use a Chevy Impala LT to get the subject illuminated. Thanks goes to Gábor Kovács for his post-processing assistance.
