NICE airport overview after a take-off RNW 04R to LILLE with AF7921. The T1 is rectangular, the new T2 is round. The north RNW 04L-22R is dedicated for landings. To the south of the field, there is also an helistation ("Mike"). On the left you can see the Var river after a stormy period which brings a muddy water in the Mediterranean Sea. NICE town on the other side. |

J-1758 (cn 928) One of Europe's most spectacular gate-guards now welcomes visitors to the Grove Technology Park. The site of the former RAF Grove (closed in the 1960s) is now owned by Robert Lamplough, and his genorosity has created this amazing tribute. Lamplough is himself a Spitfire pilot. This site is now home to the Williams F1 team. Painted in false RAF 145 squadron markings, this is actually ex-Swiss AF J-1758 (later N203DM, G-BLSD). |
