Remark
Photographer
82-8000 (cn 23824/679) This is a very rare moment in which both 28 and 29000 are present. They meet nose to nose as 29K taxis by. Also noticable are the Presidental Seal, & the abnormal hump on the nose.

82-8000 (cn 23824/679) FACT: Did you know that before every flight, this Blue Whale is HAND POLISHED? No wonder it looks brand new all the time despite being 12 years old.

Remark
Photographer
82-8000 (cn 23824/679) President George W. Bush making his premier visit to Calgary for the G8 summit in the Kananaskis Country. Because of Airforce One's arrival, the airport was shut down completely and the runway lights were turned on to accomodate its landing. A few minutes earlier ground crews were sweeping up the entire runway removing things like dirt, gravel, gopher carcasses, and other debris.

G-YMMO (cn 30317/361) One part of the airport where you will find many VIP planes parked. Its rare enough to get 5 VIP planes in one shot. These are a bunch that arrived the day before carrying the leaders of the respected nations with HEAVY guard by the RCMP, CIty Police and Airport Security as you can see personels everywhere. From the front: Canada,Spain,Germany,UK,and Italia.

82-8000 (cn 23824/679) President Bush arrives for the G8 on this now historic day. Despite all the spectators, I found a good spot just in time as AF1 passes over the threshold. In the background, two Canadian Flags are seen waving at the arriving guests. :)

RA-96012 (cn 74393201009) More G8 Summit pictures yet to come. Those in YYC will remember this as a profound experience. Pres Putin here sitting somewhere inside it heads back to UUEE after staying for only 1 day.

82-8000 (cn 23824/679) "Air Force One" flaring up in what would be the first ever visit of a sitting president in the history of this city, and the first time ever that AF1 landed at this airport. It was indeed a proud moment to watch this take place on this awesome 2002 day.

RA-96012 (cn 74393201009) President Vladimir Putin of Mother Russia is the last G8 leader to arrive for this annual event. Russia is now a fulltime member of the Group of 8. The next G8 summit was held in Evian, France.
