After a miserable day weather wise it was a pleasure to share the very crowded viewing deck with a hundred others watching this amazingly clean Russian heavy as it prepared for departure. The front gear of the plane actually got up before the '1' marker but the body remains heavy. I think the pilots know exactly where to rotate. N22CB (cn 18502188) This Cessna 185 is sitting quiet but resting peacefully at the Lake Hood Seaplane Airport. As the lake is completely frozen during winter, the owner put his lovely airplane onto the lakeside which gave me this unique perspective. Low winter sun is rising just behind the airplane whereas the snow helps the shadow to brighten up. This is a full 12mm view which I think it is something interesting to show. Bright yellow color of this airplane gives this image a final touch. |
