9V-SKB (cn 005) The biggest wing just got bigger! Probably an optical illusion, due to its size, but those spoilers are the size of barn doors. Absolutely gigantic! Onboard SIA318, routing SIN-LHR. Today's flight was all of 13½ hours, extremely torturous if it wasn't for the fact SIA put on a top-notch show. Food, IFE and aircraft were all brilliant. Taken from seat 48A. Difficult shot due to there being 3 panes to shoot through, 2 of them being about 10 inches apart. We're touching down here at about 19.40LT, night's setting in. What a great flight! |

ZK-SUJ (cn 27602/1161) Close up window shot of another Air New Zeland 747 in "Lord of the Rings" livery following us from Auckland. It kept moving from left to right beneath us. It finally changed course somewhere around Guam, heading for Tokyo, while we were going to Osaka. A very rare shot of this livery from the air. I was really lucky.
