C-FNJE / 702 (cn CV-437) On July 25th 2001, this aircraft flipped over while taking on water from a lake near Inuvik, NWT. Both crew members were able to get out, but the aircraft sank to the bottom of the lake. |

CF-JCS (cn 250) In late spring, this aircraft taxied out onto the (somewhat) frozen lake and fell through the thin ice. Note the floatation devices on the wing and tail. It took a Chinook helicopter from Edmonton to lift it out. Scan from original photo. |

N649AS (cn 30663/1386) Wow! Northern lights and the Great Dipper!! This could be one of the ultimate window views that I could expect. Mother Nature surely does know how to pose for photographs. However, this is changing forever and could disappear suddenly as we are now traveling more than 700 km/h with 10 km off the ground. Definitely, this is a damn difficult image to capture where my passion for photography comes from. The red cast on the wing comes from the anti-collision light as I managed to synchronize my photo with it. |

ZK-NBW (cn 29375/1228) High over Northern Canada enroute to LHR from LAX, and with the moonlight illuminating our wing, I couldn't believe my eyes when I finally saw the Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis) for the first time. Thanks to Mark & the McCoy family for a wonderful holiday. |

N77006 (cn 29476/183) EWR-HKG. CO Flight 99. This flight took us directly over the geographical north pole. On this picture you can see the last bit of land before we reach the pack-ice. The view was stunning with snow and ice as far as one could see and a deep blue sky. |
