N24-001 / 870 (cn 70-0461) HMAS Newcastle's Seahawk on the flightdeck of HMAS Arunta, whilst we were heading back to Melbourne after the ships first deployment to Asia. At the time Arunta carried a Bell 206B-1 Kiowa, which was great for joy flights but little more, pending the arrival of the Sea Sprite. Flightdeck ops are controlled from the "glasshouse" to the left. |
