C-GDVW / 909 (cn 273) After a busy week, I always enjoy a sunny weekend, taking photos in the gentle breeze. Well, it's not only me actually, but also some local spotters willing to spend couples of hours around here. Currently flight AC857 from Heathrow is floating down toward Runway 23. |

90-26232 (cn 70-1559) The primary mission of the HH-60G Pave Hawk helicopter is to conduct day or night operations into hostile environments to recover downed aircrew or other isolated personnel during war. This mission requires in flight refueling if the pickup point is deep within enemy territory. In this picture, two Pave Hawks trail their tanker aircraft in a demo of precision flying. |

F-WWDD (cn 004) State of the art technology... perfection in building something unusual! This definitely applies for both "actors." You have to see it live... after a heavy downpoor and a beautiful rainbow and about 90 min starring at the sky, the A380 finally made the first apperance at Dubai's landmark No. 1, the Burj al Arab |

F-WWDD (cn 004) Back in Nov 2005 it was the first appearance of an A380 at DXB. For an airport where photography normally is stricktly prohibited and security is very tight, people were quite close to the action.......I had a blast during during the 7 days I stayed in Dubai. |

G-**** Together on the ILS for 27R with another 744, a 777 and a short hauler. Looks very tight but there's miles between them in reality. Heathrow at its best.....perhaps?! (More to come!) |

63-8050 (cn 18667) At center of photo is the nerve center of the Boneyard. Upon arrival, aircraft are processed here and then stored around the facility. There are four North American Rockwell B-1 Lancers on the apron. A strange looking pair of Boeing NKC-135B "Big Crow" (black and white) Radar and Electronic Warfare training aircraft are parked on the desert. [Nikon D300]. |

VT-AIM (cn 25074/862) Have you heard the old saying "Suffering For Your Art"? Well I did just that. While running to get this shot I hit my little toe really hard on the walkway curb in the lower left hand corner of this shot. ( I was wearing flip flops at the time, feet exposed) A huge wave of pain gripped me, nevertheless I made it over in time to get this palm tree framed shot. The next day the whole toe was black and blue and stayed that way for some time. Yes, a shot I will never forget! |
