USA - Air Force
Boeing B-17G Flying Fortress (299P)
In Flight
Germany, 1943
Remark
Photographer
**-**** Taken by my Great Uncle during World War Two. This was taken from a gunners position on top of the aircraft. This photo was taken after a flack attack from German ground troops. I have come to find out that there are not many photos left of this squadron and that not many were taken. Sadly my Great Uncle has passed away and his wife and his brother gave me permission to share this photo with A. net.

Avro 698 Vulcan B2
Waddington (WTN / EGXW)
UK - England, July 5, 2008
Remark
Photographer
G-VLCN / XH558 (cn SET12) Having received a permit to fly just two days earlier, this was the first flying display by a Vulcan for 15 years. What a stroke of genius to fly it in formation with PA474, the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Lancaster - probably the two most significant RAF bombers in the air together
