This is indeed the world's most beautiful tower, both outside and inside. East zone control tower of capital airport and its women controllers with no doubt can catch your eyes at the first place. Picture indicates a corner of the tower, in which ATC delivery and ground control are located. A/Cs are giving instructions within the east zone especially the T3 area of the airport. Sorry for quality because of full shak condition. In right side Iraqi VIP A-300 is visible, and after that Turkish B-737-800 is next to the jetway. Behind the Turkish aircraft you can see two new Iraqi B-737-800 with covered engines because of FOD. These days B-737-200 and IL-76DT are two most visitors in Baghdad Int. [EOS 40D]. |

Bora Bora! I'm quite happy to have landed there as pilot in command of my rental aircraft. Picture was taken on the 150 nautical miles return leg Bora Bora - Tahiti, after a short sightseeing trip to Tupuai. 25 km in the distance, Tahaa island can be seen. During WWII, the USA built a military base here. The airfield, now 1500 meters long, is was is left of it. |
