D-AHIA (cn 29082/229) The most spectacular I have experienced in Europe so far! Very late 90 degree right turn ending right at the threshold of the runway. Dangerous downwinds from the hills make it even more difficult.

PH-BTD / TD-014 (cn 27420/2406) Sometimes, especially on ground, pilot can be a very dangerous job. But after this teamwork and successfully climbing back, nothing could be going wrong.

N649AS (cn 30663/1386) Wow! Northern lights and the Great Dipper!! This could be one of the ultimate window views that I could expect. Mother Nature surely does know how to pose for photographs. However, this is changing forever and could disappear suddenly as we are now traveling more than 700 km/h with 10 km off the ground. Definitely, this is a damn difficult image to capture where my passion for photography comes from. The red cast on the wing comes from the anti-collision light as I managed to synchronize my photo with it.

N46625 (cn 27529/2683) A dull afternoon at work is livened up with a corporate barbecue. Captains log to maintenance: engine 1 running hot, please check. Joking aside, you can be sure the pros at Co will only allow this aircraft back into service once its fully repaired.

ZS-SJS (cn 32632/1205) On a flight from Johannesburg to Cape Town, this leading edge slat would not retract. All the attempts by the pilots to recycle the flaps did not work, so we had to fly to Cape Town at a slower speed and lower altitude. According to the co-pilot who has contacted me, this has never before happened on a 737-800 and Boeing is investigating the incident.
