F-GSPU (cn 32309/383) This diversion from Paris was due to a bomb threat received remotely. The crew was told to taxi onto Rwy 15L and stop next to the Central Deicing Facility. Emergency response vehicles were staged on both sides of the runway. After an air sample was taken of the cabin, the 270 passengers were allowed to deplane onto buses. Following a thorough search of the entire aircraft and bags, they re-boarded and continued on to MEX. |

3B-NAV (cn 094) A wide angle perspective of the huge rear cabin aboard 'Kestrel' taken from the last row of the aircraft, seat 41H. The flight, AF980 / MK045 (code share) was nowhere near full and delayed by 45 minutes due to a puncture while on stand at Paris CDG gate F83, onroute to Mauritius with a flight time of 12 hours. This was my first ride aboard an A340-300 and although it may have a slow rate of climb, I loved every moment of the flight. The cabin crew are first class (Canon 350D + Sigma 10-20 EX DC HSM) |
