JA**** Lots of ANA airplanes are waiting for the first flight of the day. Fifteen ANA tails could be counted in this frame. As this photograph was taken before Kansai International Airport has been introduced, large numbers of airplanes stayed overnight at Itami. It was just before the break of dawn when the color of the sky started changing every minute. I used a tripod and applied a long exposure (1 min). It was truly a priceless gift from the Mother Nature for those who woke up earlier than usual on that day. |

**-**** In 1987 it was possible to see B-52C, B-52E and B-52F Stratofortresses in one part of AMARC, also many B-52D "Big Belly" war reserve machines in other compounds. This photograph shows what are most likely B-52E and F models retired to AMARC in the early 70's, all have had their radar equipment removed. The badge worn by the centre BUFF - the eagle holding a bomb in its beak - was worn by the 96th Bomb Wing who were based at Dyess TX. |

N381AA (cn 44921/666) This DC-7B still carries the same registration, N381AA, and color scheme, it did when delivered to American Airlines in 1956. It still flies to and from Bahamas Island every Wednesday. I am very appreciated that Capt. Reynaldo Blanco and Carlos Gomez, the owners of the Florida Air Transport keep the aircraft in the excellent condition. Obviously, I can here the glorious Wright R-3350 Cyclone engine sounds! |
