N936UW (cn 27244/607) [Canon 5D Mark III + Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 IS L USM] Air to Air Spotting in St. Maarten isn't that easy as in other airports. Here you have to deal with Straight-In Rwy.10 Approaches, Left or Right Downwinds Approaches Rwy.10, Rwy.28 Departures, Short-Field Take-Offs, All of them 1,500ft Below You, Constantly Maintaining Visual Separation with all traffic and being in a Cessna! Thanks to all the Crew of Air Traffic Controller in Juliana Control Tower for making this possible. |

86-0012 (cn 500-0098) An interesting aircraft flying over my back garden on this very clear Spring afternoon. Not long afterwards I also spotted a C-17 following exactly the same track - heading out west towards the Irish Sea for the Atlantic crossing. Many thanks to Michael Brazier again for his unstinting support with these images. |

VH-OQJ (cn 062) The world's first dual A380 flyover happened today in Sydney. Flying in close formation, this occasion marked the official start of a historic partnership between Qantas Airways and Emirates. The flyover was done under a special call sign "Seismic", as Tim Clark says the EK-QF partnership had caused seismic shift in the global aviation. Interestingly, Delta-Yankee disappeared from the radar after takeoff - was the TCAS system switched off? I quite like how the two prominent tails aligns one another. |

A6-EGN (cn 41074/993) Another impressive widebody departure seen from my favorite spotting location at Newcastle airport. Too bad there aren't more regular heavy flights. |
