Flug Werk FW-190A-8/N
Duxford (EGSU)
UK - England, July 6, 2007
Remark
Photographer
G-FWAB (cn 980554) Replica of the Focke Wulf Fw190A-9 W.Nr. 980554 (block 980 540-590) with actual registration G-FWAB is owned by Spitfire Ltd., St. Helier, Jersey. Fw190 looks like according to the emblem on the engine cowling as from III.Gruppe / JG11. But personal insignia is of Gruppenkommandeur II.Gruppe (<<+-) and II.Gruppe never had Fw190s, only Bf109s. On the rudder is the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross awardee marking with 60 victories, similar to Major Anton Hackl marking - JG11 Commander.

N256D (cn 12-2903) MFR 1947. The airplane still lives but my friend is gone. I hope he leaves a place for me in his formation. I would very much like to fly with him again.

NX42SF / R-117 (cn 37721) Slide scan. MFR 1947. When Gary Hubler climbs in an AC called Bad Attitude & you're in the back seat hang on to your hat & tighten your seat belt. Good thing the FAA had the day off!
