N521NA (cn 25592/453) Congratulations for Aerogal and their first 757! They kept their promiss, and they will start to fly to Miami on Dec 7th! Seen here performing a LOW fly by for the people waiting for this aircraft, as it comes from Bogota, on a ferry flight after it left Avianca, its previous operator! Great new revised scheme also!

Impressive view of Quito airport. On final for Rwy 17, slightly high on the glide path. A TAME 727 is at the holding point. Behind it an ICARO F28 and an Air Force Hercules.

Quito - Mariscal Sucre (UIO / SEQU) (closed)
Ecuador, August 17, 2004
Remark
Photographer
Turning final Rwy 35 at Quito's Mariscal Sucre International Airport. Notice how the runway is not level throughout its entire length. The other side of the runway (Rwy 17) is even more dangerous because the geography around it is such that it creates of a lot of wind shear on short final. This airport is one of the most demanding around the globe for commercial flights, it's easy to understand why...
