HK-2016 (cn 19276/592) Avianca 072 heavy is seen on short final landing runway 25L routing BOG-MEX-LAX. First flight was June 22, 1967. Delivery date was June 30, 1967. Other serials - N423PA with Pan Am as "Clipper Glory of the Skies". Sadly, W/O January 25, 1990 at Long Island, New York with Avianca as HK-2016 due to fuel starvation while in holding pattern on approach.

HK-2016 (cn 19276/592) In the early livery on short final at JFK. A missed approach at JFK proved fatal for this aircraft on January 25, 1990 when it suffered fuel exhaustion and crashed on Long Island before another attempt could be made.

Other serials - N4724U with United Als - reserialed from N4713U to N4724U in Sept 1989, and also C5-FBS with Air Dabia as "Douga Lissoko" - del in March 1997. On Feb 24, 1989 she lost her forward cargo door over Pacific Ocean routing HNL-AKL, 9 of 355 were fatalities - r.i.p. Stored at LAS in Jan 1997, OPF in Feb 1998, & PLB in July 2002.
