OV-103 (cn OV-103) "Discovery" sits hooked to the mobile launch platform with the umbilical chords (seen on two sides of the rear fusleage at base of tail) and her solid rocket boosters (which have explosive bolts that hold the stack on to the MLP) and external tank. The inside lights are on and seen in the overhead windows. Soon tanking will begin for tomorrow's launch. See workers at base for scale of stack. |
