N859NN (cn 29555/3456) [Canon 7D + Canon EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM] The dawn of a new day reveals the dawn of modern aviation. In the thin spit of land just under the outboard flap track fairing lies Kill Devil Hills, NC, where Orville and Wilbur Wright made the world's first controlled, powered airplane flight in 1903. Looking down at the site of the Wright Brother's flight from 38,000 feet gives an interesting sense of how much aviation has progressed in the past 100 years. |

8Q-MAF (cn 449) The spectactular views from the window from seat 1C as we fly southeast from Meedhupparu Island in the North Raa Atoll back to Male International at 2,000ft to connect to my First Choice (Thomson Airways) flight back to Machester, TOM189 aboard G-OOBK. I'd spent the previous 2 weeks diving and relaxing in this wonderful country. The sea plane transfers were certainly one of the highlights, nearly on par with diving with Manta Rays and Sharks!
