They all bid farewell to the last ever JAL Cargo flight to take place operating JL6421/6432 from Anchorage via Frankfurt back home to the land of the rising sun. Múlakot Airfield´s two hangars, grass parking area and runway seen with backdrop of the infamous Eyjafjallajökull Glacier covered Volcano. The field is only 15 km (8 Nautical Miles) from centre of current eruption, that has upset much of flying in Europe recently. As this is written no end to that is in sight. |

Nightlife at RWY 31R in TWAN style. This is the best known spotting place in BUD, we called "patak" (watercourse or creek). The main lights are landing lights of airplanes. There are other airplane lights in the picture near the horizon. In the ground there are reflectors of cars. In the middle of circles the shortest strip is Polaris. The blue stars near the mid-horizon are stars of Big Dipper which is the best known formation in the northern sky, but this not constellation, it's only part of Ursa Maior. |

D-ADII (cn 23775/1412) Suffering a heavy birdstrike during takeoff to Pristina. Approximately 200 starlings were sucked into the engines when they the flew straight into the path of the departing Boeing. The engine sound changed significantly and the plane returned to Dusseldorf safely after 45 minutes in the air. |
