PK-GSA (cn 22246/452) On 9/10/1988, this GA B742 was damaged at Don Muang. Whilst taxiing into the gate, the brakes failed (other reports indicated that the pilot failed to stop) and the aircraft didn't stop, ploughing into the terminal by 2 metres and injuring 3 pax. It is pictured here 6 days after the incident being towed for repairs, with the damaged nose covered to prevent any embarrassment. However, they forgot to cover the engines and the wing, which obviously hit the airbridge. A rare catch for me [Kodak Print] |

I saw that there were some nice clouds coming down from the north and a break at the horizon where the sun could break through and light the base of the clouds as the sun would set. Taken from G-EUXL operating BA1477 from GLA to LHR. Due to extremely strong winds aircraft on the ground at Heathrow were only able to taxy with extreme caution resulting in a backlog for departures and causing delays through the whole system. Normally arriving from Glasgow we would have entered the Bovingdon hold but ATC sent us instead across to the Biggin Hill stack giving this rare chance for me to get a low level overview shot of the field. |

A6-EDI (cn 028) Not since the Concorde has a civilian airliner generated as much public interest as the A380 – on a random Monday morning in October, Ringway’s Runway Viewing Park was virtually deserted until the daily arrival from Dubai was due at 1130, and by the time it appeared, parties of schoolchildren and others were jostling for position against the railings of the raised viewing mounds. On a day of low pressure and high winds, the air was clear enough to permit this sort of photograph at very long range. |
